Mrs. Lamoutte, Hola!

A little bit about me . . .

Picture

My name is Carmen A. Lamoutte (a.k.a. Carmina).  This year I’m the Spanish teacher for the students at St. Thomas Apostle School.

I have three kids with my husband, Humberto:  Anamarta and Eric, who graduated from St. Thomas and are attending Marian H.S., and Mariana, who is in 5th grade at St. Thomas School.

I obtained a Bachelor Degree of Arts and Science, in Secondary Education with a minor in Math, from the Sacred Heart University and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico.  During the last fifteen years I have been volunteering to teach Spanish to the students of Kindergarten, and, since 2005, I taught some of the students from 1st to 4th grade an after school program (“Hablemos Español”) at St. Thomas School.

This year I’m excited to teach Spanish at our School to students from Kindergarten thru 8th grade.  The  “Junior High Student” (6-8) will use a “point scale” that will determined if they earned a “High Pass-HP”, “Pass-P” or “Fail-F” evaluation by the end of second and fourth quarters.  Due to this new approach, I would like to get the participation of all the parents or legal guardians by signing and returning any work that is sent home and by keeping open communication with me, via e-mail or phone.  My e-mail address is [email protected] and the telephone number is 815-459-0496.

Thank you for your attention!  Looking forward to meeting all of you!!!

¡Qué Dios los bendiga! (God bless you!)
